Genesis 15:1 it's the same thing Genesis 46:2 was saying when it said "And God spake to Israel in the visions of the night"...God told Mariam and Aaron that he would speak in visions and dreams. This is why 1 Samuel 9:9 talks about the seer and why Ezekiel 1:1 talks about visions of God and Ezekiel 11:24 talks about visions and why Daniel 10:1-16 talks about a vision and why Acts 10:10-17 talks about the trance apostle Peter had. 1 Kings 19:9 is the same "word" when Psalm 119:139 says "mine enemies have forgotten thy words". When Jeremiah 1:4 says word it's the same thing with Ezekiel 1:3 and Ezekiel 3:16...they both and in other instances says the word of the LORD and then actually says the word of the LORD when it says saying, which is common throughout the Old Testament.

In Genesis 15:1; 1 Kings 19:9 and Jeremiah 1:4 the word "word" is the Hebrew word dabar/davar which means talk or message, signifying a communication or instruction from God. It's not talking about the same thing in John 1
