In Jesus's days because of Greece and Rome taking over around that time, Jews spoke Greek, and their names were Greek with Jewish significance. This picture shows Jesus' name in Greek, Latin and English. Latin was the language of Rome. After Alexander the Great conquered the region and Greece and Rome took power, the children of Israel had Greek names and Greek became part of the Jewish lexicon due to gratitude towards Alexander the Great. Many were even named Alexander because of this. Greek names were adopted and later Latin because of Rome
Even the Scriptures they had weren't in the original Hebrew, but their scriptures had been translated to Greek and it was called the Septuagint. This is another reason Jesus came, to correct the Scriptures in the Septuagint. If the names were Greek names, then it was no different than Jesus's name being Greek. It was just part of the culture back then.
