The Joint Purpose of Man & Woman

In the book The Complete Kuma Sutra, Alain Danielou translated that there are 3 aims in life: virtue, love and prosperity and without virtue, love and prosperity will go terribly wrong. It's funny how prophets outside the Bible can also see that everything needs to be governed by morality or rather holiness, this is why apostle Paul said that he prayed that we would prosper (1) and be in good health (2) even as our souls prosper and also why Jesus said seek the kingdom of God (the wellbeing of the inner man) and his righteousness and money, food and clothes will automatically come. God is a God of order. Yes, we can prosper without God with difficulty or we can take God's route and not have to struggle to eventually prosper.

Your wife isn't a helpmate, she's a help. She's a help meet or rather suitable for you to produce more humans or at least that was the original purpose that God made the woman for the man, but through the rest of the Bible, God shows us several other purposes for sex and of a wife.

The original purpose of a woman was to help a man get the rest of humanity out of him to populate the earth, that's why she's called a woman, because she's a man with a womb, but that's not the only purpose for women. God didn't just give the man the purpose to have dominion, he gave that purpose to both of them. God told both of them "be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth (not just in sexual term, but to manage the earth also) subdue it and have dominion. The man and woman are supposed to both take control over what goes on in earth and have dominion because of it.
