Express image of his person; can it be saying the exact image of his persona, the exact image of his character.

Christ was the image of the invisible God. Jesus told Philip that he was in the Father and the Father in him. The Father in him means the Spirit, but he in the Father I believe has two meanings. 1st, he's in the will of the Father, but also, because of earlier in the Gospel of John, he said that no man has ascended to and from heaven except the Son of man who is in heaven, referring to himself. Even when God became a human, he was still on his throne, in his fullness, nothing missing, even though he was in human form on earth, because he is omnipresent. I believe that Christ was inside of the Father in heaven from the beginning. The Father already knew that Mary would be the one that bared Jesus, so Jesus still looked the same while being inside God, this is why he is called the ancient of days, because he has always been because he has no beginning, this is why apostle John said that the one he saw looked similar to Jesus, because it was Jesus in his full glory. It doesn't just say that he is the express image of God, but also the brightness of his glory right before that. Jesus is the glory of God in whatever form that is, whether it be light, revelation, honor, fire, cloud, smoke, mist, voice like many waters, a still small voice, or the Spirit, Jesus is all that and a bag of chips.
