Jesus wasn't a human before the virgin birth, Jesus as a human wasn't equal with God, that's why Philippians say "but being in the fashion of a man, he humbled himself". Jesus was God, but because he became a man, he was lower than God, he was the Son of God, that's why he said that the Father was greater than him. The reason the lamb was slain before the foundations of the world is because God is omniscient, so the lamb was already slain in his mind, this is why the Bible says he declares the end from the beginning.
