The Bedrock of the Church Is That Jesus Is The Christ

When Jesus said "you are Peter and upon this rock, I shall build my Church", the word Peter means pebble and the word rock means bedrock. A pebble is a small rock and a bedrock is a big rock. The Church isn't built off of Peter, but the Revelation that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God. Peter is the small rock that holds the big rock in place. Paul means little one and Paul was the other rock that held that Revelation in place.
