Sin being in the world is why so much bad happens in the world, this is why Jesus came to free the world from sin and we do that by seeking God for the Holy Ghost 

Just because you seek God for the Holy Ghost doesn't mean it's not a gift. Children ask their parents for gifts all the time and it's no different with God who is our Father 

Speaking in tongues isn't a work. It isn't something we do, it's something that God does through us. Speaking in tongues isn't natural, it's a gift from God
