When the Bible says "a Son is given, it's talking about the crucifixion, it's not talking about a pre-existing Son. Jesus was the Son of God because he was a man whose Spirit was all God. This is why once we receive the Holy Ghost we become children of God and when we mature in the Faith, we become sons of God.
