Righteousness, Not Lawlessness

Just because the Bible says that we are not under the Law anymore doesn't mean we can be lawless. When the Bible says we're not under the Law anymore, it's talking about the Levitical Law, but we are now under Christ which is after the order of Melchizedek. Melchizedek was the king of righteousness, this is why Jesus said seek ye first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and also why the scripture says we are the righteousness of God in him. This means that we couldn't be made righteous through the sacrifices under the Law, but we are made righteous through the sacrifice of Christ. The Bible says "in him", so we have to be in his will to be the righteousness of God.
