I was watching a YouTube video and it said that it takes 66 days to replace a habit and it broke down the 3 phases. That's good and all, but I don't think it should apply to sin, because you're not trying to replace the sin with righteousness per se. The scripture says that when an unclean spirit is gone out of a person, it goes to dry places, then says that it will return to the person and finds the person hasn't received the Holy Ghost, so the unclean spirit goes back in. We don't need to replace the sin with a righteous act, but we need a righteous Spirit, the Holy Spirit to fill us up after we get rid of the sin or bad habit. We don't need a good habit to replace the bad habit, because there's a possibility if we stop doing the good habit, the bad habit or sin will come back. What we need is the Spirit of God to fill us after we've gotten rid of the bad habit or sin. Also the Spirit will change our desires, so that we stop that sin.
