A Little More About Us
The Apostolic View is a blog ran by Myron A. Gilmore Jr. He's been in ministry since he was 5yrs old when he received the Holy Ghost, 3 months before his 6th birthday. He started as an Usher at Faith Miracle Temple in St. Louis, Mo. In different points in his life he was also in ministries such as Media (a Cameraman, a Camera director and a Camera Switchboard Panel director), Marketing (Youth Department Guest Pass Developer and a Marketing Distribution person), Intercessory (intercessor and secretary), International Intercessory and both of the College ministries (Oasis Coffee House setup crew member and College Chess Club & Tour Secretary and Assistant Director) at Faith Miracle Temple. Throughout his Scholastic career, he's been a part of ministries such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes (member and student teacher), Baptist Campus Ministries (member, student teacher and Reporter/Columnist), Jesus Alive Ministry (member and student teacher), Campus Crusade For Christ (member and substitute teacher), Campus Advance, InterVarsity, Alpha Chi Ministries and Social Media minister (MySpace, Facebook, InstaGram, LinkedIn and Twitter). He's been featured on a College Radio Show. He has taken ministry courses Hearing The Voice of God and Understanding Ministry from Higher Ground International Ministries Development Institute. As a student at UMSL, Myron started off as a Music Education major, switching to Liberal Studies after his first year. He has also received an Associates in Arts-Music with electives in business from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, he briefly attended Alabama A&M University, where he studied Music with an emphasis in Business and Music Education. He was in the Visual and Performing Arts system from elementary school through high school, but he also attended a historically black elementary school: Banneker; and a regular elementary school: Clark. From his family of moving from a traditional family to a blended family, his school history, the diverse range of Christian Ministries he's been a part of through his scholastic career, including his degree in Liberal Studies, Myron has always been in an environment of cultural diversity. From his childhood, being a Christian, he has always pushed towards unity, cohesion, reconciliation, conflict prevention and conflict resolution.
